Open about a year, the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia has become an instant classic. Located in the historic part of Philly, close to where the Declaration of Independence was signed, this Kimpton hotel is perhaps one of the boldest properties in the company’s portfolio.
The 268-guestroom hotel is located across the street from the Liberty Bell and Independence Park. It has 17 suites and 27 King Spa rooms. For events, the property features a total of 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 3,300 square foot ballroom. It also houses the Red Owl Tavern restaurant and the city’s only true rooftop lounge. The hotel is the second LEED Certified hotel for Kimpton in the city.
As at all Kimpton’s properties, the hotel features a nightly manager-hosted wine hour, welcomes dogs and offers a number of other perks such as complimentary Wi-Fi and bicycles. To pay homage to its historic location, kites are available in every guest room for complimentary use in Ben Franklin’s backyard, brass keys not included.
