Be on the cutting edge and make a splash at your next trade show or conference with these trending promotional products.
DRINKWARE GAINS VALUE
The hottest items of the past year believe it or not, have been water bottles. But, not the inexpensive ones! Best sellers are water bottles that are $7 or more. Popular name brands most requested include Contigo, Arctic, Camelbak and Yeti. Why? They’re quality products.
Bottles with a textured look are also the rage, even though imprinting takes more time, mostly because of brand rules. Order with just a bit more lead time so you won’t be rushed!
Cotton is making a comeback in apparel with items like polos. We’ve seen more requests for cotton apparel in the last six months trending over and above performance wicking shirts. Dress shirts and golf shirts are still popular but numbers show cotton apparel is still in the lead. Reasons why? Comfort and style.
WELLNESS PROGRAMS ARE HEALTHY
More and more companies are creating programs focused on employee wellness, nutrition and exercise. Is it to keep health insurance premiums down, reduce absenteeism or increase morale? Human Resource departments are requesting technical shirts, lunch coolers and other items to get their employees moving. Even jump ropes and exercise balls, branded of course.
THE SHOWS GO ON
Conventions, trade shows, meetings and events are still on the calendar, but we’re seeing an upward trend in sales-incentive trips after a bit of a lull. One item hot on the list is the virtual enabler for smartphones and tablets – from the affordable viewers to the expensive full-size units for incentive groups. Items to draw attention at booths also include kitchen utensils, jar openers, measuring tapes and my favorite, the unsinkable keyring.
DECORATION AND PACKAGING PAY OFF
Full-color designs and custom color matching are trending now in the promotional product industry. Clients want to be unique and stand out in the marketplace, and customized packaging is one way to make that happen. Every company wants to make a splash on their product investment whether they have 2, 3 or even 4 or more colors in their logo. Custom printed gift boxes for sunglasses are a huge hit as well and gift boxes with a handle for Moscow Nile copper drinkware.
