Paper Submission Instruction

All oral presenters are requested to submit Acta Horticulturae (conference proceedings) manuscript by June 1, 2008. This relatively early deadline for abstract submission is to allow the organizing and scientific committees to publish the issue of Acta Horticulturae before the workshop, so that we can distribute final copies to the conference participants at the conference. We request each author to limit manuscript length to 6 pages, in order to reduce the overall publication costs. If you are an oral presenter, please note that your presentation will be kept active in the program only if you complete the manuscript submission by the scheduled deadline (this means that we may move your presentation to poster session if you can not meet the manuscript deadline).

Poster presenter manuscript submission is optional and you are welcome to submit a manuscript if you are interested in doing so. The same deadline (June 1, 2008) and manuscript length limit (6 pages) will apply to poster presenter manuscripts as well. If you are a poster presenter, and are planning to submit manuscripts, please make sure that you inform Chieri Kubota (ckubota@ag.arizona.edu) by April 30th so that we can assign reviewers in a timely fashion. Your submission is optional, but please keep the deadlines and timeline in order to assure that your manuscript appears in the issue of Acta Horticulturae published out of this conference.

Instruction of on-line manuscript submission will be sent to you by April 21st, 2008. For format and style, please follow the ISHS author guidelines ( http://www.ishs.org/wri/pap1.htm) but please note that again that our page limitation is 6 pages when you review the author guidelines. Each manuscript will be reviewed by two selected reviewers within 2 weeks of manuscript submission, and authors will be requested to submit the final manuscripts reflecting reviewers comments.
