Releasing Your Inner Artist
Not a week goes by when we are not asked if we know of something a bit out the ordinary for a corporate event, a hands-on activity that will engage all participants. Luck would have it we just recently discovered a good one.
According to research, painting, as an activity, is one of the best ways to relieve stress, focus on the creative, and allows individuals to express themselves. Me The Artist allows for this type of activity for non-artists and artists alike. Unlike traditional art classes, the company encourages a social atmosphere while painting in their studio, or at your event location. Up to 70 attendees can participate at the studio, located at City North. More can be accommodated at your own event location. And yes, you can bring your own beer, wine and food.
Participants are called Me’tists and during a two or three hour me’vent will paint the same 16”x20” acrylic-on-canvas me’sterpiece. Yes, they have cute names for it all. A me’guide, that’s the certified instructor, provides guidance to create a likeness of the original me’sterpiece. Attendees who have never painted, or swear they have no creative bone in their body will be amazed what they can accomplish under the guidance of the instructor, and yes creativity is encouraged. This is not a paint-by-numbers class. Me’tists are encouraged to individualize their pieces.
Groups of 10 or more can reserve Studio space, and Me’sterpieces start at $50 per person for a two-hour session, and that includes all materials and me’guide. You can also have them come to you.
