Miele Catwalk 2012

We’re always on the lookout for blogs and pictures of great events. Browsing Pinterest we came across this totally stylish fashion blog Ghentstreetstyle.com.  The site is the city’s version of Bill Cunningham’s New York Times street fashion coverage.  Oh, and when referring to Ghent, we are talking about Ghent, Belgium. One event showcased amongst the street fashion stood out, the Miele Catwalk 2012. We especially liked how the brand tied fashion to their products, and had designers personalize Miele laundry machines.

Miele Catwalk, one of the biggest fashion events in Belgium and Ghentstreetstyle was there! We went to Tour & Taxis in Brussels and were warmly welcomed. The show started with the collection of Simple Kidz. During this défile, the little models were guided by a group of geese! The defilé of Black Balloon was spectacular. Accompanied by live music from Willow, we got to see a model carrying a big group of black balloons. Our favorite collections were Café Costume, Just In Case, Tim Van Steenbergen and Natan. After the fashion show, we were spoiled with snacks and desserts from the best Belgian chefs. We also got to see the personalized laundry machines from all the designers. We hope you enjoy our report!

With appreciation to Karen and Bram of Ghentstreetstyle.com for the post and photographs.
