The world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

Located just a few miles outside the main areas of Palm Spring, this outdoor locale has a unique amalgamation of the American and African environment. Animals, such as wild cats and giraffes, can be easily spotted along with the hoofed animals of the desert. Get there early and help feed the giraffes. In the main building, veterinarians may be doing dental work on a big cat, which can be viewed through a window and on screen. 12-passenger shuttles can take visitors around the park if walking is a challenge.
