We’ve heard time and again that the drug development process is inefficient. Today, new technology and digital health platforms deploy advanced computational techniques and new data methodologies across the R&D continuum. In the drug discovery stage, new platforms are allowing drug hunters to identify the best therapeutic nodes of disease and target new domains, such as RNA-targeting with small molecules. Even in early R&D, technologies can incorporate patient data to increase the confidence in the human relevance of drug targets and candidates, including new techniques such as Organs-on-Chips technology that have human cells on chips.
