Often dismissed as powerless because they can’t vote, secondary students can actually be a strong voice for school equity. In this session, students will discuss the important role they play in solving education issues in their communities, and how school leadership can support their efforts. Present in the discussion will be 4 charter high school students.
Attendees will leave with a strong understanding of the role students play in shaping their schools community, and advocating for education causes we all care about. Schools will leave empowered to enact student voices at their schools, and be provided with some critical support to get started.
