New Year's Holiday Adventure - Grand Canyon 2017

 Guided all inclusive experience - 4 days/3 nights - December 29, 2016 - January 1, 2017

Our Glamping Adventure combines hiking, camping, and lodging that will not only thrill your senses, but this expedition is a highly sought after trip of a lifetime to a North American Natural Wonder, the Grand Canyon. Amazingly, most people who visit the Grand Canyon miss the opportunity to trek to Phantom Ranch or share in its hospitality because reservations sell out a year in advance. Consider this uniquely cool Holiday Adventure Package.

Begin your trip at the South Rim, descend the Kaibab trail with your guides to glamp two nights under the stars at Bright Angel Campground. Guides host a hearty gourmet campsite dinner. Learn about the geology and Canyon history, explore the Colorado River Basin, Waterfall and other optional hikes on day two. Dine in tradition at the Phantom Ranch Cantina for Steak Dinner with all the fixings that evening. On New Year's eve, day three, ascend the Bright Angel Trail to arrive at your Ultimate Lodging and New Year's Celebration for a New Year's eve in Style in your luxury accommodations at El Tovar Hotel.  On day four, wake to an amazing sunrise and Grand Canyon views on the rim before heading home on January 1, 2017.

Hitting the Trails

Meet @ GC South Rim

The South Rim is the most visited part of the Grand Canyon. Best known for its railroad architecture, native american arts, wildlife, ponderosa pine, views & more. Glamper's meet up to prepare for their descent on the famous Kaibab Trail to Phantom Ranch and Bright Angel Campground.

Kaibab Trail @ Phantom

Nestled along the North side of the Colorado River, Phantom Ranch once was the site of a Native Kiva and Pit in 1050. Later, Fred Harvey invested in this rustic stony outpost, enjoyed by Teddy Roosevelt in 1913. Then, Phantom Ranch was then renamed by Mary Colter, its architect of its present community and home to a mule station, dining, cabins, dorms, and camping.

Why Choose Guide Expeditions?

A guided expedition provides you with specialized coaching in the backcountry. Each destination has its own unique considerations, and our guides have trained to this specific environment, served countless travelers, and managed adventurer's unique needs in the Canyon. Keeping to the trail, safety, and geological education just a few considerations.

Guided Experience

Your trip will be hosted by a first wilderness responder, whose combined experience includes 15 years in the Grand Canyon, year round, full-time, in addition to experience in World Class Expedition management around the world. The role of your guide  is to lead the trek, the group dynamic, safety, and education of every participant collectively throughout the adventurer.

Wear athletic clothing suitable for the weather, and sturdy athletic shoes. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Be advised that hiking, biking, and climbing are inherently dangerous activities. Safety will take precedence over all other concerns.
