The South Rim is the most visited part of the Grand Canyon. Best known for its railroad architecture, native american arts, wildlife, ponderosa pine, views & more. Glamper's meet up to prepare for their descent on the famous Kaibab Trail to Phantom Ranch and Bright Angel Campground.
Nestled along the North side of the Colorado River, Phantom Ranch once was the site of a Native Kiva and Pit in 1050. Later, Fred Harvey invested in this rustic stony outpost, enjoyed by Teddy Roosevelt in 1913. Then, Phantom Ranch was then renamed by Mary Colter, its architect of its present community and home to a mule station, dining, cabins, dorms, and camping.
